Youth
Health Mela-2013 is an important non-profit, non-commercial,voluntary,
pro-people event at Chennai, that few organisations under the able
leadership of Adyar Cancer Institute,are putting together, for the
second year now.
Children and youth are truly our human assets that we should cherish to build a glorious and healthy future.
However, our
young human resources are so vulnerable today and in the days to come,to
the disaster of life style related diseases on account of four specific factors,namely,
1.Tobacco and Alcohol addiction & abuse,
2.Uninformed choice of diet and lack of nutrition,toxicity etc
3.Lack of Fitness and exercise and
4.Lack of hygiene and all round environmental degradation.
I may appear to paint a gloomy picture.
But, Youth Health Mela-2013, in fact, is a very positively affair. More
than 60 types of stalls will be exhibiting different concepts on health
issues. There are symposiums, debates, lectures and host of
competitions for the youth. Of course, there will be sumptuous dishes to
eat and taste, which are very healthy, organic, made from variety of millets.
So,
please do visit with your family and friends. And do a great favour by
