1. “….அப்பெரும் புவிக்குத் தான்ஓர் ஆயிர கோடி யண்டம்….”

-This explains there are trillions of cosmic units related to our universe-

2. “அண்டப் பகுதியின் உண்டைப் பிறக்கம்

அளப்பருந் தன்மை வளப்பெருங் காட்சி

ஒன்றனுக் கொன்று நின்றெழில் பகரின்

நூற்றொரு கோடியின் மேற்பட விரிந்தன”

– திருவண்டப் பகுதி, திருவாசகம்-

This explains the creation of the universe and its subsequent expansion with the cataclysmic explosion of Big Bang.

3. “அங்கண்மா ஞாலத் தண்டம் ஆயிர கோடி தன்னில்

இங்குநீ பெற்ற அண்டம் ஆயிரத் தெட்டி னுள்ளுந்

துங்கமாம் அண்டமொன்றின் இயற்கையைச் சொல்லுகின்றேன்”

-This explains the 108 cosmic units which were given to Sura Padma and further going to explain the nature of one of them-

4. “இவ் வண்டத்தில் புவன நூற்றெட்டு இறையருள்சேர் உருத்திரர் தம் இருக்கையாமே”

-This explains the 108 out of 224 multiverses belong to Rudras-

5. “புவர்லோ கத்தின் நலத்தகைய தொகைபதினைந் திலக்க மாகும்”

   -கந்த புராணம், அண்டகோசப் படலம்-

This explains 1,500, 000 universes of Bhuvar Loga, beyond our milky way-

6. “தொகலோடு சேர்தருபமிப் பதத்தின் மீதிற் சுவர்லோகம் எண்பத்தஞ் சிலக்க மாங்கே

புகலோடு வானவரும் பிறரும் போற்றப் புரந்தரன்வீற் றிருந்தரசு புரிவன் அப்பால்

மகலோகம் இருகோடி மார்க்கண்டாதி மாமுனிவர் பலர்செறிவர் மற்ற தன்மேல்

இகலோகம் பரவுசனலோகம் எல்லை எண்கோடி பிதிர்தேவர் இருப்பர் அங்கண்”

This explains 80,500,000 universes of Swar or Swarka Loga which is ruled by Indra, 200,000,000 universes of Mahar Loka which is the place for rishis like Markandeya and 800,000,000 universes of Jana Loka where manes, the presiding deities of the departed souls reside

7. “தவலோகம் உன்னதமீ ராறு கோடி சனகர்முத லாவுடைய வனகர் சேர்வர்

அவண்மேற் சத் தியவுலகம் ஈரெண் கோடி அயன்இன்பத் தலம்உலக மளிக்குந் தானம்

நவைதீரும் பிரம்பதம் மூன்று கோடி நாரணர் வாழ் பேருலகம் ஓர்முக் கோடி

சிவலோகம் நாற்கோடி அதற்குமீதே திகழண்ட கோளகையுங் கோடியாமே”

This explains 120, 000, 000 universes of Tapa Loka which is the place for Janaka etc, 160,000,000 universes of Satya Loka where those who attained residence there resides with Brahma who resides on the top 30,000,000 universes called Brahma loka. Beyond this 30,000,000 universes of Vishnu Loka and 40,000,000 universes of Siva loka. Vaikundha and Krishna loka are part of Vishnu loka-

8. “உலகம் உவப்ப வலன் ஏர்பு திரிதரு பலர் புகழ் ஞாயிறு”

   -திருமுருகாற்றுப்படை, 11ம் திருமுறை-

This explains even the sun moves around the cosmic axis of Maha Meru.

9. “ஞாயிறு போற்றுதும் ஞாயிறு போற்றுதும்

காவிரி நாடன் திகிரிபோல் பொற்கோட்டு

மேரு வலம் திரிதலான்”

முழுதும் ஆண்டோர் வழிக் காவல”

This explains the global shape of the earth. Western world considered the earth was flat until middle ages. Early Scientists were severely reprimanded if not punished or burnt alive by the churches for saying the earth is a globe and it orbits the sun with other planets-

13. “…கரப்பவர் தங்கட் கெல்லாம் கடுநர கங்கள் வைத்தார்..”

-These two Thiru Murai songs explain about the hells which have 28 kinds of 280, 000,000 universes –

from Thiru Mandra and Thevaram from Thiru Murai songs

14. “..மாவடு வகிரன்ன கண்ணி பங்கா நின் மலரடிக்கே

கூவிடுவாய் கும்பிக்கே யிடுவாய் நின் குறிப்பறியேன்..”

  -திருவாசகம்-

-This Thiru Murai song explains about one of the 28 types of hells, Kumbeepaaha where the departed souls of the sinners are punished by barbequing them alive for years-

15. “கிங்கிணி ஓசை பதினா லுலகமும் கேட்டதுவே..”

-கந்தரலங்காரம்-

“..புவனம் பதினான்கையும் பூத்தவளே..”

These two songs explain about the immediate neighbourhood fourteen universes of our milky way which is called Bhu Loka.

16. “காய மொருவம்போ தோர்கண்டியை விழுங்கி

மாயுநர்தா மாய மனத்தின்றி – யேய்வ

ருருத்திரலோ கத்தி னுதிப்பினுமீங் கேயா

சரித்தமலன் றாளையடை வார்”

 This explains about the Rudra Loka.
